Martina Darkow

Moin! My name is Martina Darkow, genuine “Hanseat” and since 1978 at home in the world. Being the daughter of a captain I went to sea from a young age and caught the travel bug. 

After studying logistic management I worked in the freight forwarding and container shipping industry for many years.  

My wanderlust and the dream of leaving the port of Hamburg on a ship one day lead me to join a cruise ship for a couple years. But my yearning brought me back to my home port Hamburg. 

Since 2010 I am, after successfully completing the assessment of the Tourismusverband Hamburg e.V., a tour guide  and inspire guests at city tours by foot, by bicycle or bus through the most beautiful city in the world. 

For bigger groups or events I work together with a team of qualified tour guides.
